Our Vision

Philosophy of Ministry

We seek to glorify God in everything we do through the strength He provides. (John 15:5; 1 Corinthians 10:31)

As we gather together we seek to:

1. Glorify God through WORSHIP: although all of life is to be worship, we are intentional in the songs we sing.  The pastor chooses music that reflects the passage of Scripture being taught.

  • Congregational Worship: should engage worshippers in a life-changing response of praise and adoration to God.

  • Foundation for Worship: must flow directly from God’s Word (2 Tim. 3:16).

  • Leadership for Worship: to enhance the process of personal and congregational worship.

  • Style of Worship: We mainly sing the great hymns of faith but also sing some modern songs that have a strong biblical message.

2. Glorify God through DISCIPLESHIP (personal growth): A network of believers loving each other and encouraging each other from God's Word.

  • Biblical Instruction: Providence Baptist Church is concerned with spiritual progress in each person’s life so that they can become pleasing to God in all things; putting faith into action.

  • Discipleship and Fellowship: We believe being part of a church family includes fellowship in each other's homes, but we also provide opportunities to learn together as a church family, whether in the Sunday morning service, formal Bible study, men's and women's discipleship groups or Family Night.

  • Christian Service: to apply spiritual gifts so ministry can continue to expand, develop, and grow (Eph. 4:11-16).

3. Glorify God through EVANGELISM: Reaching people both individually and collectively.

  • Evangelism: We seek to live lives as a church family and in the community that reflect the love that Christ had for us by dying for our sins.

  • Collectively (together): providing a style of worship, mid-week ministries, and visitation that points people to Jesus as the way, the truth and the life.

  • Providence Baptist Church will always be committed to spreading the Gospel in our backyard and around the world.
